Confused... burnout?

Confused... burnout?

Hey!

I introduced myself over in the introductions space, but I'm Misty. I was a process server for some years (I served legal papers to individuals, couples, and businesses) and then stopped when I decided it was time to start a family.

I decided to become a content writer without knowing what niche to write in (I was told it was necessary if I wanted to make money), but, being ADHD, I don't like to do things that way. I enjoy researching, and I tend to read 5-6 books at a time. I can also write a decent blog or article on any subject. My passions lean towards cold cases, true crime, and paranormal.

I'm also extremely organized and have great time management, which is odd for an ADHD-er, I admit, but it's me.

I'm confused as to what I want to do with it all or where to take it now. I'm tired of buying courses that promise 'if you do it this way, follow this method, you can make money' or whatever the promise is. I've got enough of them collecting dust.

Any suggestions? I can't see the forest for the trees.

Hi! I'm also a content writer and it can be a really great gig, especially if you want something flexible while you're raising little kids.

I would recommend learning a technical side to go along with it. If you can position yourself as someone who can run an SEO strategy or email campaigns, or knows how to do to technical documentation, you'll be much more marketable and avoid the content churn a bit.

Thanks, Rebekah! Maybe it's time I look back over one or two of the more promising courses and try again. I was working through the latest one, learning email campaigns. I do know a very small bit about taking complicated or technical jargon and putting it into layman's terms. I just don't know how to go about writing samples and advertising them all.
